TrackVision is a fleet management system under SafeTruck, offering GPS tracking and smart geofencing for best-in-class visibility. It helps improve operational performance and enhances fleet management effectiveness by enabling timely decision-making.
My Role
Joined the early stages of the project to redesign the UI and deliver Version 2 of the TrackVision fleet management system, ensuring it looks professional and modern.
Provided design solutions and interactive prototypes for testing and gathered feedback from internal stakeholders.
Collaborated closely with the development team and fellow designers to deliver effective solutions.
Challenges
Managing information density: The system had to display a large amount of data on one page, including various vehicle types, conditions, and statuses.
Designing a clean and user-friendly interface: Ensured critical details were prominently displayed while maintaining a visually clean and organized lay
Design Solutions Highlight
01. Differentiating Vehicle Types and Statuses
The previous design used a single car icon on the map, making it difficult for users to identify different vehicle types.
Icon design for car variants
To address this, I designed unique icons for each of the seven vehicle types, making them easily distinguishable. Additionally, different colours to represent various vehicle statuses, enabling users to quickly understand the situation.
